Assam Govt Clarifies Fee Waiver Policy for Self-Financed Courses

Guwahati: The Assam government has clarified that its fee waiver scheme does not cover self-financed or endowment courses introduced independently by colleges and universities. Education Minister Ranoj Pegu said such courses are managed by the institutions themselves, and the responsibility for fees lies with the respective colleges. He added that the government will take an appropriate decision on the matter in due course.
