Mizoram Removes Over 46,000 Names from Electoral Roll

Aizawl: Mizoram’s Election Department has removed 46,191 names from the state’s electoral roll after a Special Intensive Revision exercise. The deletions included deceased voters, migrated individuals, untraceable persons, duplicate entries, and those who opted out for religious reasons.
Following the revision, the state’s electorate now stands at 8,28,877. The draft electoral roll will be published on 4 July, while citizens can submit claims and objections between 5 July and 4 August before the final list is released.
