Guwahati Jal Board Warns Against Illegal Water Pumping

Guwahati: The Guwahati Jal Board has warned residents against using unauthorised pumps to draw water directly from House Service Connection (HSC) pipelines, stating that the practice is illegal and disrupts water supply by reducing pressure for other consumers.

The Board urged residents to use water responsibly and report any instances of illegal pumping. It said strict action will be taken against violators to ensure fair and uninterrupted drinking water distribution across the city.
