Assam Ministers Review Flood and Erosion Situation in Gohpur

Gohpur: Assam Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Keshab Mahanta and Water Resources Minister Sushanta Borgohain on Tuesday visited flood- and erosion-affected areas in Gohpur to assess the damage and review mitigation measures. The ministers inspected vulnerable stretches along the Chakrang and Kukurjan rivers and directed officials to begin guard wall construction and other protection works.

The ministers also held a review meeting with district officials and assured residents that the government would implement area-specific flood-control measures and provide all necessary support to families affected by flooding and erosion.
