Four Suspected Contract Killers from UP Arrested in Assam’s Gossaigaon

Gossaigaon, Assam: Four suspected contract killers from Uttar Pradesh were arrested by Gossaigaon Police on Thursday night after alert villagers in Ballamguri reported suspicious armed men. Police recovered a country-made pistol and live cartridges from their possession.

The accused, identified as Dharambir Gautam, Bikash Choudhury, Suraj Gautam, and Nizamis Ali, are all residents of Basti district in Uttar Pradesh. Preliminary investigations suggest they had entered Assam to carry out a contract killing.

Police are investigating their motive, intended target, and possible links to criminal networks. Security has been tightened in and around Gossaigaon following the arrests.
