Gaurav Gogoi Seeks Special Flood Relief Package for Upper Assam

Guwahati: APCC president and Lok Sabha MP Gaurav Gogoi has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to approve a special relief and rehabilitation package for flood-hit areas of Upper Assam.

In a July 30 letter, Gogoi highlighted the damage and loss of lives in Sivasagar, Charaideo and Jorhat, along with destruction of infrastructure and livelihoods.

According to an APCC statement, the Prime Minister has acknowledged receipt of Gogoi’s request.
