Two Arrested in Assam Over Alleged Pakistan Intelligence Links

Guwahati: Assam Police STF has arrested 31-year-old Abhishek Kumar Singh, a native of Purba Champaran, Bihar, from Satgaon for allegedly sharing sensitive security information with a Pakistan Intelligence Operative. The arrest followed intelligence inputs from Gajraj Military Intelligence, Tezpur. Police recovered a mobile phone, SIM cards and documents during the operation.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said a retired Army jawan, who was working with the Army on a contractual basis, was also arrested in connection with the case. The two are suspected of sharing information about Army movements with Pakistani contacts. Further investigation is underway, and the accused are yet to face trial.
