Akhil Gogoi Launches “Jatiya Jagaran Yatra” Ahead of 2026 Polls

Raijor Dal chief Akhil Gogoi began his “Jatiya Jagaran Yatra” from Sivasagar’s historic Rang Ghar, pledging to defeat BJP in 2026. He vowed to safeguard Assamese identity, resolve the foreigners’ issue via NRC, and grant recognition to six communities. Gogoi also demanded land-resource rights under Article 371, better irrigation, industries in villages, and youth employment. He hinted at contesting from Sivasagar in the next elections.
