Alcohol Prices Set to Surge in Assam

Starting April 1, 2024, the excise department in Assam has declared a significant increase in alcohol prices across the board. The hike encompasses all types of alcoholic beverages, including Indian-made foreign liquor, beer, wine, and ready-to-drink varieties. This adjustment applies to both civilian purchases and those made through Canteen Stores Depot (CSD) bonded warehouses and paramilitary wholesale warehouses.
