Assam Cabinet Approves Kaziranga Expansion and Major Infrastructure Projects

The Assam Cabinet approved the sixth addition to Kaziranga National Park, expanding it by 47,306.33 hectares. Villages like Gopal Jarani and Gonaitapu were excluded after consultations. The Cabinet also cleared ₹205.73 crore equity for Numaligarh Refinery, ₹284 crore for a new Assembly complex in Dibrugarh, and upgrades to Khanikar Stadium and Lachit Barphukan Police Academy.
