Assam CM Highlights Muslim Migration from Bangladesh Amid Ongoing Crisis

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that only Muslims from Bangladesh are attempting to enter India amid the current unrest in the neighboring country. Speaking in Silchar, he emphasized that the Hindu population in Bangladesh is staying and fighting for their rights, while only Muslim illegal immigrants have been arrested, with 35 apprehended in the last month. Sarma also mentioned that the peace in Northeast India might be influenced by the upcoming elections in Bangladesh, as regional stability is connected to the situation in the neighboring country.
