Assam Extends Undergraduate Admissions Deadline Amid Issues with Samarth Portal

Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu announced that the admission process for various undergraduate programs via the Samarth portal will continue until July 31. This extension comes in response to significant difficulties faced by students using the online system. The merit list, initially set for release on June 19, was delayed until June 20, exacerbating student anxiety and uncertainty. Despite the portal’s aim to streamline admissions, the delays have left many students uncertain about their admission status.
