Assam Locals demolish another Madrassa in Pakhiura Char, Goalpara

Another Madrasa was demolish in Goalpara by the locals.

Goalpara Sp VV Rakesh Reddy said “Locals took the initiative to demolish a madrassa. Govt was not involved in it. They were surprised that the jihadi who was arrested was a teacher in the madrassa. People have given a strong message that they do not support jihadi activities”

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said “All demolished madrasas were not madrasas but Al Qaeda offices. We demolished 2-3 & now public is coming to demolish others. Muslim community is coming to demolish, saying that they don’t want a madrasa where the work of Al Qaeda is done.That changes madrasa’s character”

Today, the locals of Darogar Alga, Pakhiura Char in Goalpara dist voluntarily demolished the madrassa & the residence adjacent to the madrassa which was previously used by 2 suspected Bangladeshi nationals as a strong resentment towards the Jihadi activities: Assam Police CPRO
