Assam observed Iodine Deficiency Prevention Day

Global Iodine Deficiency Disorders Prevention Day was observed by the State Cell of the National Iodine Deficiency Disorders Control Programme, Health and Family Welfare Department of Assam. As a culmination of the state’s district headquarters’ series of awareness campaigns, an intersectoral meeting was organised.

These campaigns included various activities such as rallies, quizzes, and other awareness programmes about iodine deficiency disorders, their prevention, the utility of idolised salt, and its importance in all age groups.
