Assam Police have detained three more people in connection with a ‘transgender’ murder.

On Saturday, the Chandmari Police Department apprehended three more transgender people in connection with their alleged involvement in the death of the suspected transgender person, Amdadul Islam. Three of them, according to sources, were chosen from the Ulubari area. Even though the detainees were changing locations and eventually being apprehended by the police, the police were able to track them down.

Earlier, the Chandmari Police recovered a two-wheeler with the registration AS01 DJ 0139 that was used in Islam’s murder, according to sources. The two-wheeler was found near the All India Radio Tower on the hilltop of Bhangagarh. The three transgender people were allowed to leave after the interrogation.
