Assam Police receives road safety equipment from the Transport Department
In a major effort to promote traffic safety measures and bolster enforcement in the state, the Lead Agency on Road Safety under the Transport Department of Assam has given the Assam Police 150 breath analyzers and ten state-of-the-art traffic interceptor vehicles.
At the Assam Police Headquarters in Ulubari, the equipment was officially handed over on Friday during an official ceremony. This represents the government’s dedication to providing Assamese residents with safer roads. In front of senior officials from the Transport Department and Assam Police, Minister of Transport Parimal Suklabaidya formally handed over the equipment to Gyanendra Pratap Singh, the state’s director general of police (DGP).
