Assam Power Distribution Company Employee Nabbed for Bribery

In Nagaon district of Assam, an employee of the Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) was apprehended by Vigilance and Anti-Corruption officers while accepting a bribe. The accused, identified as Nanda Hazarika, held the position of Switch Board Operator at APDCL sub-division 2. He was caught red-handed near his residence in Nagaon while demanding a bribe for expediting the processing of an application for commercial meters. Further investigations into the matter are currently ongoing.
