Assam Rifles soldier injured while defusing bomb in Manipur

An Assam Rifles soldier was injured while defusing an improvised bomb at Saitan village in Manipur’s Bishnupur district, about 60 km south of Imphal, on Friday morning.

A defence spokesperson said the crude bomb was locally fabricated and the soldier who was trying to defuse it did not suffer major injuries.
