Assam Transport Department Urges Vehicle Owners for Pollution Check Ahead of Bihu

The Transport Department of Assam has extended warm wishes for the upcoming festive season of Bihu while urging citizens to ensure their vehicles comply with pollution norms. Gautam Das, the officer on special duty, emphasized the importance of updating pollution certificates to reduce pollution in the city. Non-compliance could result in fines of up to Rs 10,000 under Section 190 of the Motor Vehicles Act, he cautioned.
