Assam’s Innovative Voter Education: 3D Dummy Ballot Units Unveiled

Kamrup District Commissioner and Election Officer Keerthi Jalli, along with Professor Parameswar K Iyer from IIT Guwahati, introduced 3D Dummy Ballot Units in Assam’s Biswanath district. The initiative aims to educate voters, especially first-timers, by allowing them to interact with these units resembling actual ballot units. The units, made of recyclable materials, emit a beep sound and light up when pressed, mimicking the voting process. The project, completed in 48 hours, promotes 3D printing and enhances voter confidence. The joint effort signifies a commitment to inclusive electoral practices.
