Father-Son Duo Arrested For Kidnapping and Killing Guwahati-Based Businessman

In Goroimari town of Assam’s Kamrup district, a father-son duo was detained for the alleged murder of a businessman from Guwahati.

The businessman was allegedly kidnapped in Guwahati by the pair, who then killed him and dumped his body in the River Brahmaputra, according to sources.

A financial extortion attempt against the businessman is thought to be the reason behind the kidnapping.

Notably, the police discovered the dead businessman’s phone that was in the arrested pair’s possession.

According to the police, there may be more people engaged in the crime, and they are currently conducting an investigation to find any more connections.
