Final Voter List for Assam By-Elections to Be Released on August 8

Assam’s Chief Electoral Officer Anurag Goel announced that the final voter list for the upcoming by-elections in five assembly constituencies will be released on August 8. The by-elections, needed due to vacancies from MLAs elected to the Lok Sabha, will take place in Dholai (SC), Sidli (ST), Bongaigaon, Behali, and Samaguri. The Election Commission will use pre-delimitation constituency boundaries for these elections. Pre-draft electoral rolls will be shared with political parties on July 27, with claims and objections accepted until August 10. The final voter list will be published on August 20.
