Guwahati Police Department rescued 20 cattle from smugglers in the city

Guwahati Police foiled a plot and successfully rescued several cattle heads from a truck. A truck loaded with cattle was intercepted at the Jorabat Link Road during an operation carried out by a team of personnel from the Jorabat Out Post, which is part of the Basistha Police Station of the East Guwahati Police District.

A total of 20 cattle were discovered on the vehicle with the licence plate AS 01 QC 4423. In connection with the incident, one person named Hafizur Rahman, 35, of Rupahi, was arrested. The Guwahati Police Department has taken legal action against the individual and launched an investigation into the matter.
