Guwahati School Student Clinches Silver at Khelo India Women’s Taekwondo League

Raksha Boruah, a 12th-standard student from Modern English School in Guwahati, secured a silver medal at the Khelo India Women’s Taekwondo League held at the Assam Rifles Dronachara Sports Complex in Shillong. Selected through a trial at Nehru Stadium, Raksha represented Assam in the competition held between February 14 and 17, 2024. The event’s opening ceremony was graced by Lt General P.C. Nair, Director General of Assam Rifles, who officially inaugurated the league. Raksha’s achievement was celebrated by her school, with the Physical Education and Taekwondo Coach expressing pride and emphasizing its significance in promoting both sports and academics. The event, attended by around 500 participants from various states, showcased the remarkable skills of the participating athletes.
