Guwahati’s lack of proper streetlights causes issues

Several parts of the city, including both major roads and smaller lanes, remain without proper lighting, causing problems for residents. The Kharghuli area of Guwahati is one such location, with parts of it becoming completely dark after the sun sets.

Residents in the area stated that the lights were installed about a month ago but have since become inoperable. They questioned the city council about the causes of the failure and demanded that it be repaired immediately.
