Heroin Worth ₹9.72 Crore Seized in Assam’s Cachar, One Arrested

The Assam Rifles, in a joint operation with Cachar Police, seized heroin worth about ₹9.72 crore and arrested one person in Cachar district, Assam, on March 13. The suspect was intercepted at Polarband while allegedly transporting the narcotics.

Officials said the accused and the seized drugs were handed over to police for further investigation. Earlier, another joint operation in the district also led to the seizure of heroin worth ₹3.5 crore and the arrest of five people near Kalain.
