Jorhat Forms Task Force for Fire Safety Audits
Following a recent fire that claimed one life, Jorhat DC Jay Shivani has formed a 15-member task force to audit fire safety in commercial establishments, hospitals, and other buildings.
The team, led by DDMA branch officer Kritartha Neog, will submit recommendations by December 20 to mitigate fire risks in Jorhat and surrounding areas. The move follows multiple fire incidents in the town, including the November 1 tragedy near Bhogdoi Masjid.
