Maharashtra government approves setting up Assam Bhavan in Navi Mumbai

The Maharashtra government has approved Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s request for the construction of Assam Bhavan in Navi Mumbai.

While Mr. Sarma announced that his government will allot land to set up the Maharashtra Bhavan in the northeastern State.

“Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who met Mr. Sarma in Guwahati on Saturday evening has approved his request for the construction of the Assam Bhavan in Navi Mumbai, while they will provide land for Maharashtra Bhavan in Assam,” a statement from Mr. Shinde’s office said on Sunday.
