Thieves Posing As Beggars arrested in Guwahati

Geetanagar police arrested a five-member gang wanted in many cases yesterday. The members of the gang give police and others the slips by staying in the guise of beggars in front of the Shukreshwar Temple in Guwahati.

The gang members are Akash Das, Raju Medhi and Subham Nayan hailing from Bhangagarh, Sanjib Baishya of Beltola and Biki Das of Chandmari.

According to the police, the thieves often disguise themselves as beggars to carry out their illegal activities of theft and robbery.
