Manipur Identifies Evicted Individuals and Enforces ILP Rules

Manipur CM N Biren Singh confirmed efforts to identify individuals evicted from Assam, including those from Ukhrul and rural areas. The Assam government recently evicted 500-600 people, some reportedly Kuki families fleeing violence.

Separately, Manipur Police deported 29 Assam residents working in a bakery for violating Inner Line Permit (ILP) norms. The ILP only permits laborers in construction, not bakery workers, per state regulations.
