Maoist IED Attack in Chhattisgarh Kills 9

A Maoist IED blast killed eight District Reserve Guard jawans and a driver in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district on Monday. The explosion, which left a seven-foot-deep crater, occurred in Kutra around 2:15 pm as the victims were returning from an operation. The vehicle was completely destroyed, with parts scattered across the site. Inspector General Sundarraj Pattilingam confirmed the targeted attack.
