Meghalaya still short of 150 specialist doctors: Ampareen
Health minister Ampareen Lyngdoh has said that the government is concerned that Meghalaya still lacks 150 specialist doctors.
While replying in the Assembly, she informed that the state has a total sanctioned 375 specialist doctors of which 227 are in position today.
Lyngdoh added that in the latest recruitment process conducted by the Medical Recruitment Board, about 397 new medical officers were recruited of which 83 are specialist doctors.
