NFR Introduces New Train Timetable to Enhance Connectivity and Efficiency

Starting January 1, the Maligaon-headquartered North-east Frontier Railway (NFR) will implement a new train timetable aimed at boosting connectivity, passenger convenience, and operational efficiency. Key changes include the acceleration of 43 trains, reducing travel times on prominent routes. For example, the SMVT Bengaluru-New Tinsukia Express (22501) will be 120 minutes faster, the Kamakhya-Gomti Nagar Express (15077) will save 75 minutes, and the Dibrugarh-Howrah Express (15962) will cut travel by 60 minutes.

In addition, the timings of 24 express trains, 16 intra-zonal mail/express trains, and 23 DEMU trains have been revised to better suit passenger needs. These adjustments reflect NFR’s commitment to delivering improved travel experiences, better connectivity, and smoother operations.
