Residents of Grem and Asang Haju villages in Dima Hasao continue to suffer due to the severely damaged NH-27 stretch between Nrimbanglo and Jatinga. The road, badly hit by landslides and floods in 2022, remains unrepaired, forcing commuters to use an unsafe diversion. Daily travel has become risky and time-consuming, especially during medical emergencies. While progress is reported on nearby sections, locals allege their stretch has been ignored and are urging authorities to prioritise immediate restoration.
