NIA Arrests Two More in 2024 Guwahati IED Plot Linked to ULFA-I

The NIA has arrested Bhargob Gogoi and Sumu Gogoi from Dibrugarh for their alleged role in the 2024 Independence Day IED planting in Guwahati’s Dispur. Linked to banned outfit ULFA-I, they are part of a wider plot to trigger multiple blasts. This brings total arrests to three. Earlier, ULFA-I had claimed responsibility for planting bombs at over 20 sites across Assam. ULFA-I chief Paresh Baruah and two others were already chargesheeted in the case.
