North East Olympic Games begins in Shillong

The 2nd North East Olympic Games got under way in a colourful ceremony in Shillong today. Around 3000 athletes from all around the North East states are competing in 18 disciplines at 12 venues spread across Shillong.

The opening ceremony was held at the SAI Training Centre in NEHU campus where a good number of crowds turned out to watch the opening ceremony.
