NSCN (IM) Cadre Arrested in Tinsukia, Assam

Security forces arrested Rangassor Chakma, a 28-year-old NSCN (IM) cadre, after a three-hour operation in Assam’s Tinsukia district on Thursday. Acting on a tip-off, the Assam Police and 6 Sikh Regiment launched the joint operation, leading to Chakma’s arrest. A cache of arms and ammunition, including pistols, grenades, and various rounds of ammunition, was recovered. This arrest is part of ongoing efforts to curb NSCN (IM) activities in the region.
