Pathaan Movie: FIR Filed in Guwahati

An FIR was filed against the movie Pathaan on Monday at the Geetanagar police station in Guwahati by the Hindu organization Kutumb Surakha Parishad. The Parishad complained against the film because of the song “Besharam Rang.”

He asserted that “Safron,” the national emblem, the colour of India’s rich cultural history, and the symbol of the millions of sacrifices made by Indian monks, cannot be a “Besharam Rang” (shameless colour) as depicted in the film. The producer, director, performers, and the rest of the cast and crew of the movie have offended the nation, national pride, Sanatan Dharma, and the noble and selfless sacrifice of the monks by doing this. The movie also disobeys Article 51 A of the Indian Constitution.

Satya Ranjan Borah wrote in the FIR, “We request to you politely to enquire about the matter prior to transmission and public presentations of the movie “Pathaan,” and until then you are requested to refrain from holding any type of public screening of the film for the sake and honour of the Indian Constitution.
