Police Raid Targets Oil Theft on Highways; Two Apprehended in Baksa

Salbari sub-divisional police in Baksa conducted a raid targeting the theft of oil from tankers on national highways. Led by officer Nilotpal Saikia, assisted by a team from Shimlaguri police station, the operation focused on a dhaba named Motihari near National Highway in Kaljhar. The raid led to the seizure of oil gallons and suspected theft materials. Although the dhaba owner escaped arrest, two employees were detained for interrogation. The swift action underscores authorities’ efforts to combat oil theft on highways.
