Prohibitory Orders Issued in Sonitpur for Panchayat Election 2025

To maintain peace during the Panchayat Election 2025, Sonitpur District Magistrate Ankur Bharali has enforced prohibitory orders under Section 163 of BNSS, 2023. Assembly of five or more people, rallies, use of arms, and loudspeakers without permission are banned. Social media will be monitored to prevent unrest. Violators will face legal action. The order, effective from April 5, will remain for sixty days.
