Rescue operation for missing Everester Tapi Mra and Niku Dao

Mountaineers Tapi Mra & Niku Dao have been missing for the last two weeks when both of them were on an official mission to climb Mount Kyrisatam (6890 m), one of the highest peaks in Arunachal Pradesh. Tapi Mra climbed the world’s highest peak Mount Everest on 21 May 2009.

Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister of Law & Justice said “The Search and Rescue efforts of the Indian Army, & the State Administration for the missing mountaineers Tapi Mra & Niku Dao is going on under extremely challenging conditions in harsh terrain of Arunachal Pradesh.”
