Scooter Rider Killed by Falling Electric Pole in Guwahati

A fatal accident occurred in Kahilipara, Guwahati, when an electric pole suddenly fell on a scooter rider on Monday evening. The victim, identified as 38-year-old Jitu Hazarika, a resident of Lok Bandhu Nagar, was on his way to pick up his child from coaching class when the incident happened. Hazarika died immediately. The accident has raised serious concerns about public safety and infrastructure maintenance in the area, with local residents blaming substandard work by the electricity department.
