Senior Citizens Protest 110-Day Closure of Rupsi Airport, Demand Flight Resumption

A group of senior citizens from Dhubri district and the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) area staged a demonstration outside Rupsi airport, urging the resumption of flight services that have been non-functional for the past 110 days. The protesters expressed frustration over the suspension of the only passenger flight to Kolkata-Guwahati, operated by Fly Big Airlines. They highlighted the inconvenience caused by the lack of air travel options, compelling them to rely on long-distance road or rail journeys to reach alternative airports.
