Suspended Assam IAS officer in Rs 105 crore scam arrested from Ajmer

Suspended IAS officer of Assam cadre, Sewali Devi Sharma, accused in a Rs 105-crore scam, was arrested in Ajmer along with two others on Monday. An Assam police team reached Ajmer on Sunday night and with the help of local police, traced Sharma’s location to a hotel on Jaipur Road.

The team swooped down on the hotel on Monday morning and arrested Sharma, her contractor son-in-law Ajit Pal Singh and another person, Rahul Amin.
