The Congress Committee of Assam demands white paper on tribal funds

The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) slammed the BJP for allegedly failing to alleviate tribal people’s suffering, claiming that funds meant for their development did not reach the needy.

APCC leaders claimed at a press conference in Rajiv Bhawan on Tuesday that the BJP slogan ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ is misleading because the saffron party does not wish equal development in reality. “The BJP is finally showing its true colours.” The tribal people of Assam are in bad shape at a time when the government is coining such slogans to appease the people. The BJP governments in Delhi and Assam talk about developing Assam’s tribal people, but these people don’t have enough food for two square meals. As a result, many people are committing suicide, according to the APCC leaders.
