Tinsukia Police seize 20L from truck, detain driver

Tinsukia police along with Panitola police confiscated a large amount of cash from a truck and detained the driver on Saturday night.

The unaccounted cash worth Rs 20 lakh was found in a carton kept in the truck. The police said the seized amount will be handed over to the income tax department. The detained driver has been identified as Arun Kumar Yadav.

Talking to media persons, DSP Hiranya Kumar Bora on Sunday said, “The truck belongs to a transport company owned by one Pawan Sharma of Tinsukia.”
