35 acres of poppy plants were destroyed in Kangpokpi, Manipur

A combined team of Kangpokpi district police, forest officials and Assam Rifles (AR) on Friday destroyed 35 acres of illegal poppy cultivation along the Koubru hill range in the district.

The Narcotic and Affairs of Borders (NAB), a unit of the Manipur police department, and sub-deputy collector of Saitu were also in the joint team of 140 men that destroyed the poppy plants under her overall supervision.
