50,000 vacant post in various departments must be filled: Congress Committee of Assam

The APCC (Assam Pradesh Congress Committee) has called for the filling of approximately 50,000 vacant positions in various departments of the State Government.

Bedabrata Bora, vice chairman of the APCC’s media department, told the media in Guwahati today, “The problem of unemployment has aggravated in the state as the BJP governments at the Centre and in the state have not taken any strong measures to solve the problem of unemployment, and as such, the rate of unemployment in the state has increased from 4.7 percent to 7.69 percent. In urban areas, the rate of unemployment in the state is now 13.32 percent. This has put Assam among the 10 states considered mostly unemployed in the country.”
