BJP Accuses Congress of Politicising Zubeen Garg’s Legacy

The Assam BJP accused the Congress of exploiting public emotions over Zubeen Garg’s death for political gain ahead of the 2026 polls. Party spokesperson Brajen Mahanta said Congress has lost relevance and is using Assam’s beloved artist for electoral benefit. He also criticised the party for holding a procession in Guwahati without permission, calling it irresponsible and divisive politics.
