IOC Assures Adequate LPG Stock in Assam Amid Booking Glitches

Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) said Assam has sufficient LPG stock for the next 11–13 days, though consumers are facing difficulty booking refills due to glitches in the online platform caused by a surge in demand amid the West Asia crisis. IOC officials stated that refineries have been directed to increase production and the booking system is expected to be fixed soon. Meanwhile, commercial LPG is being supplied mainly to priority sectors like hospitals and educational institutions. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma warned of strict action against over-purchasing of cylinders.
